In order to cancel or move a class, we have to remove existing student responses. This is not something done lightly, and only after discussing with the instructor and, if in doubt, ODA leadership.

When is it appropriate to delete existing responses?

  • Hardly ever – only in exceptional cases

  • Also, we ONLY do this if a class will be reopened and administered again

Appropriate reasons for deleting responses:

  • Extremely low response rate (1-2 students) with extenuating circumstances

  • Department/instructor insistence

  • Abusive content in the FCQ comments directed at the instructor

If the above criteria are relevant:

  • First, discourage deleting responses to the requester and explain why

  • If they insist AND meet the above criteria, we can delete responses at our discretion

  • If there are still concerns, consult with ODA leadership

  • No labels
