To fulfill our obligation as mandatory reporters, at the end of each semester, the Office of Data Analytics (ODA) runs a text scan on student comments, using keywords to flag for reportable misconduct, including:
threats to individual or campus security
abusive comments/personal attacks having nothing to do with instructor’s teaching
attacks directed at protected class members (by faculty, staff or students)

When comments meet any of the above criteria, the student’s responses (both comments and numeric responses) will be removed from the FCQ results and reported to the appropriate office for further action.
