Remove an instructor to from an open administration

There are two options: manual or import

  • Manual is the easiest and preferred method

  • Import method is only for when an instructor is not yet in the Campus Labs systemFirst determine whether this is for a single-instructor or multiple-instructor class

  • *If instructor is going to be replace by another, follow Swap instructions instead

Sign in to Campus Labs: https://colorado.campuslabs.com/ce

  • If prompted, select Boulder campus

  • Login with Identikey

Click on Administrations tile

  • Go to correct semester

  • Go to correct administration

  • Go to correct session

Search for class

  • Click on “Details”

In the “Instructors” tile (upper-right of page), click “Add” and search for instructor

  • If the instructor is not in the system, go to “Import” instructions

  • If there are multiple instructors with the same name:

    • *Jot down the first block of constituent ID for each instructor to match

    • Option 1: look up instructors in SAS (ciwdb.hrms_personal_tbl)

    • Option 2: in Campus Labs, go to “Home,” select “Users” tile, search for instructor, select from list (take note of constituent ID, as it goes away on the next page), under “User Details for Selected Term,” click on the “Courses” tab, classes will be listed under “Instructor Enrollment,” repeat until correct instructor is identified, return to step 3

Open SAS program: L:\FCQ\CODE\UT\emplAccts4CampusLabs.sas

  • Change the date in the file name on line 15

  • Enter relevant search parameters for instructor

    • Name is usually sufficient, but for common names, employee ID is better

    • Better to include first initial rather than name to account for nicknames

    • May need to refine search a few times to get the correct instructor, or

    • Open the generated file and remove the instructors you don’t need
