How-To: Cancel a Class

How-To: Cancel a Class

If the administration has closed

  • Wait for FCQ program manager to return

If the administration is in the future

  • Have department remove class in CU-SIS; the change will get picked up in the regular FCQ sequence

If the administration is currently open

  • First check to see if any students have completed an evaluation yet

Sign in to Campus Labs: https://colorado.campuslabs.com/ce

  • If prompted, select Boulder campus

  • Login with Identikey

Click on Administrations tile

  • Go to correct semester

  • Go to correct administration

  • Go to correct session

Search for class

  • Click the check box next to class

  • This will reveal a “Remote Section(s)” button

Click the button and confirm delete

In order to cancel a class with responses, we have to remove existing student responses. This is not something done lightly, and only after discussing with the instructor and, if in doubt, other members of ODA.

Sign in to Campus Labs: https://colorado.campuslabs.com/ce

  • If prompted, select Boulder campus

  • Login with Identikey

Click on Administrations tile

  • Go to correct semester

  • Go to correct administration

  • Go to correct session

Search for class

  • Click on “Details”

The “Students” tile will show which students have submitted responses

  • Click “Unenroll” for these students

This will generate a tile for “Unenrolled students”

  • Click “Enroll” for the student you just removed

  • This returns them to the FCQ roster, but without their responses

Once all responses have been deleted

  • Follow instructions for “No students have completed an evaluation yet” above
