What if the information in CU-SIS and the course audit file don’t match up?
- Vince Pete Darcangelo
Possible causes and solutions:
Updates to CU-SIS won’t appear in the course audit file until the audit window opens
The course audit file will update daily during the auditing period
Solution: Check the FCQ calendar for the dates of the course audit window
The data warehouse updates each business day by 8 a.m. and will reflect changes submitted by 5 p.m. the previous business day
Solution: Changes made in CU-SIS after 5 p.m. or on weekends/holidays will be reflected in the course audit file within 1-2 business days
Updates to CU-SIS won’t appear in the course audit file after the daily update period has closed
Solution: Changes may still be made to courses, both in CU-SIS and manually, but will no longer appear on the course audit file
This is a very rare occurrence, but difficult to diagnose and tricky to repair
Typically, this occurs when a course placeholder is entered into the data set, and later, when the final course information is entered, a new entry for the class is created rather than editing the placeholder
The FCQ platform only picks up the first instance of a class (CLASS_MTG_NUM=1), which, in this case, is the placeholder and not the final course information
